Chairman's Message
Founder & Chairperson
Harshitha Krishna
Following the motto, “Some are born to spread their wings and others to spread their roots,” Harshitha Krishna continues the legacy of compassion and generosity in today’s education. The approach focuses on values over worth, thinking over memorization, and inner strength over materialism.
A believer in the ancient Gurukula system, which emphasized devotion, integrity, and compassion, Harshitha strives to instill these values at IKV School, fostering a nurturing and holistic educational environment.

“Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man.” – Swami Vivekananda
As we stand on the threshold of a new academic session, let me extend a hearty and a warm welcome to all our students, parents and staff. Each academic year is a curtain raiser and another milestone to be achieved. We are grateful to you for associating with IKV.
We now move forward confidently with new targets set for the future. It is my message to you all, that the people of fine character live by their values. They are honest and are committed to truthfulness, in word and deed. True character thus encompasses the capacity for self-discipline. Character creates self-respect which in turn leads to high self-esteem.
At IKV our venture is to maintain a perfect balance between the school curriculum and the extra-curricular activities. We truly believe that our education should now, move from knowledge to skills and wisdom, from competition to co-operation, from division to unity and, finally from ‘how to earn a livelihood’ to ‘how to live’.
At IKV we not only move forward into the future with a great vision but also keep ourselves deeply rooted to our history, culture and heritage. We understand the 21st century demands and we have created an arena of global outlook. IKV is also one step ahead in making a difference in imparting holistic and high-quality education by facilitating the students to develop their ingenuity, along with developing their psychological, physical and social skills. To achieve this, we have developed a wide variety of programmes, in a safe, caring, innovative and healthy environment… thus making them nation builders and global citizens.
The mentors at IKV are dedicated, competent, efficient and informed communicators with a broad spectrum of interests. They are not mere instructors but learned and devoted Gurus that make our students, see in them role models with character, excellence and commitment.
From IKV family, it is our earnest effort to provide a holistic conducive and collaborative learning environment to each and every student so that when they go out into the real- world, they brim with confidence and emerge as the leaders of tomorrow, to guide a knowledgeable society!
As per our Indian culture, Mata, pita, guru, daivam – parents are the first gurus of children. Once the child starts schooling, we become an extended family. Let us hold hands to shoulder the responsibility together.
As a Principal, I would like to personally welcome you all to our IKV family. We hope that your child’s journey with us will surely help in yielding fruitful results and envisage our shared dreams and together march into the year ahead, building a glorious and bright 2025-2026!
Thank you,
Poornima S Narayan – Principal, IKV
